I worked for nearly twenty years as a chemical engineer before returning to my childhood interests in animals and art. My artistic inspiration comes from time spent quietly observing nature, whether in my own backyard or in the nearby shorelands and forests of Vancouver Island.

All of my compositions are made entirely from pieces of colored and patterned paper collected from around the world. The shapes are cut with scissors and assembled with clear adhesive.

I studied art fundamentals at the University of Utah, and then taught myself the paper collage technique by studying the work of children's book illustrator Eric Carle. My familiarity with birds and wildlife came from ten years of volunteer work with the Utah Division of Wildlfe Resources.

I remain devoted to the causes of wildlife conservation and animal welfare, and donate all profits from my work to wildlife and humane charities.
